The Story Behind Espresso
Christian was a senior in his second to last semester of college when he faced the daunting reality of job searching. Two Google searches changed everything:
1. How many applications does it take to land a job in 2025?
The answer: 100-200 on average, with some job seekers applying to 1000+ jobs before receiving an offer.
2. How long does it take to tailor each resume?
The answer: 15 minutes to 1+ hours per application.
The math was staggering. Best case: 25 hours of resume tailoring. Worst case: literally months of work before even getting to interview preparation.
After testing existing solutions and finding them inadequate — complicated interfaces, template decision paralysis, tab-switching workflows — Christian decided to build the tool he wished existed.
